Flowen's Sword

Flowen's Sword (Japanese: フロウウェンの大剣) is a recurring weapon in the online RPG entries of the Phantasy Star franchise. It is a sword famous for once being wielded by the legendary commander, Heathcliff Flowen.

Flowen's Sword is a greatsword that was once brandished by the Commander and Chief of the Pioneer 1 military, Heathcliff Flowen. Many of the weapons in this series that Hunters come across on their adventures are typically replicas created in the likeness of the famed commander's legendary weapon, or have fallen into the series' universe through a dimensional rift.

The translucent photon blade is a deep blue with green undertones. Its hilt is made of a sturdy metal that is silver in color.

Phantasy Star Online[]

Flowen's Sword is a rare sword in the original Phantasy Star Online that can only be equipped by Hunters. There are several different replica models in this weapon series. They are listed below:

Most are commemorative models with some offensive fighting potential but lack a special ability. There are two standout models, however. The common military replica, when paired with Flowen's Shield and Flowen's Frame as a set, will boost the weapon's attack power, frame's defense, and the shield's evasion by 50%. The AUW 3084 model is the only weapon in this series that has a special attack, which is a Spirit ability that consumes TP in order to launch a powerful attack.

Flowen's Sword returns in Phantasy Star Online Episode III C.A.R.D. Revolution as a weapon card that can only be used by members of Hunters.

As a sword-class weapon, its range slices through all enemies directly in front of it. Its card ability, Link: Snatch, allows the user to absorb half of the damage their physical attack inflicts upon the target as experience points, provided Flowen's Shield is equipped with the sword as a set bonus.

Phantasy Star Universe[]

Flowen's Sword reappears in the Phantasy Star Universe series under the name Flowen's Greatsword.

In Phantasy Star Universe, the Flowen's Greatsword can be used as a trade component to acquire an "evolved" version known as "Flowen's Sword+".

Phantasy Star Online 2[]

Flowen's Sword appears in Phantasy Star Online 2 as a Weapon Camo for Sword-type weapons. It can be purchased by trading in the Gold Weapon Badge 2016.
