Ryuker or ryuka (Japanese: リューカー, possibly from German Rückkehr, "return") is a teleportation technique common to Phantasy Star games.

Phantasy Star series[]

Phantasy Star II[]

Ryuka Animation

Rolf casting Ryuka to return to town in Phantasy Star II.

In Phantasy Star II, ryuka costs 8 TP to cast. It teleports the party to the last data memory location used, under most circumstances. It may also teleport the party to Paseo if on Mota and the party has never saved or its last location was on Dezo or by visiphone, or to Aukba if on Dezo and the party has never saved or its last save was on Mota or by visiphone.

Rolf and Shir are the only player characters who can use ryuka. Rolf learns ryuka at level 4, and Shir learns ryuka at level 6.

Telepipe has the same effect as ryuka when used.

Phantasy Star IV[]

In Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium, ryuka costs 8 TP to cast. It teleports the party to any town on the same planet that has been previously visited by the party, beginning from the party's arrival in Piata. It can only be used outside battle and outside dungeons.

Chaz and Rune are the only player characters who can use ryuka. Rune already knows ryuka when he joins the party. Chaz learns ryuka at level 9.

Telepipe has the same effect as ryuka when used.

Phantasy Star Online series[]

Phantasy Star Online[]

In Phantasy Star Online, ryuker is a technique usable by all classes except androids. It costs 10 TP to cast and acts as a telepipe, creating a portal between the casting location and Pioneer II. All players can use the portal to transport themselves to and from Pioneer II until the caster returns to Ragol through the portal.

Ryuker disks are available as monster drops, found in boxes, or can be purchased from the item store on Pioneer II for 5,000 meseta, assuming the disk is in stock.

Ryuker requires 150 MST to learn and, like reverser, has no levels.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis[]

In Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, devices are spread around the map called Ryuker Devices, which function similarly to PSO2's Block Elevators. After interacting with a Ryuker device for the first time, players can fast travel to an unlocked Ryuker Device freely.
