Stag Cutlery (Japanese: スタッグカットラリ) is a recurring weapon in the Phantasy Star franchise.

General Information

Stag Cutlery is a legendary double saber that will only allow itself to be wielded by those it deems worthy. In some incarnations, the double saber can only be equipped by male characters, while in others, only a specific melee class can wield this fickle weapon.

This double saber typically is made up of, as its weapon type implies, two saber blades connected by a pole. The blades are always red and glowing due to the nature of the photons with which it was made. The pole design changes from game to game. In Phantasy Star Online, the pole is solid metal; in Phantasy Star Online 2, it is white with purple stripes near the blade hinges and grip.

Stag Cutlery has two abilities. Frozen Death destroys a non-story character opponent who has the freeze condition. With Major Rampage, an attack against a Hunters-side story character will also inflict an equal amount of damage to equipped items, if the story character has over half of max HP.
